Putin (officially) warns Netanyahu against striking targets in Syria and Lebanon in the future.
According to official sources in Russia, Russia has prevented Israeli attacks on Syrian army positions recently, threatening to shoot down Israeli fighter jets if they hit targets in Lebanon and Syria.
The Russian source said that such a thing happened twice in the recent period, pointing out that at the end of last August, Moscow prevented an attack on a Syrian army site in Casion, where Israel was targeting a missile battery and tracking devices and control of the system “S300” of the government, Moscow threatened to drop Israeli fighter jets by sending Russian fighter jets to intercept them or via the S-400 system without specifying which method would be used, forcing Israeli forces to retreat in silence and stop Israeli air strikes.
Russia also prevented another attack less than a week later on a Syrian military post in the Syrian Quneitra region, and a raid that was intended to target a sensitive Syrian army and state facility in Latakia.
The dispute between Israel and Russia over Israel’s attacks on Iranian, Syrian and Iraqi targets in Syria and Iraq appears to be still intact, despite Netanyahu’s meeting with President Putin, which both sides described as positive and effective in the area of agreements for the Syrian crisis..
