Trump: I would like to visit Moscow during the May 9 demo

US President Donald Trump has said he would like visit Moscow on May 9 next year to attend celebrations in Moscow to mark the 75th anniversary of World War II victory.

“Yes, that’s right, the invitation has been reduced,” Trump said in response to a question from TASS’s reporter on Friday.

“I was invited at the height of the election season, but I will definitely think about it.

Russian President Vladimir Putin invited me. This is an important issue,” Trump said when asked whether he planned to meet

an invitation he had earlier made to visit Moscow on May 9, 2020. It is a very important matter, so I appreciate the invitation. “

The US president pointed out that May 9 next year, will be at the height of the election campaign in the United States.

The next US presidential election will be held on November 3, 2020. Trump will run again for the Republican Party.

“It’s the peak of the political season, so I will see if I can, but I want to go if possible,” Trump said.

On the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit in Osaka, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited his US counterpart

to participate in celebrations in May to mark the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
