Violent clashes erupted between Syrian Army units and Turkish forces in the village of Um Shu’ayfa in the northeastern countryside of Ras al-Ain.

In turn, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the Syrian army managed on Friday along with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to regain control of the village of “Um Shu’ayfah” located on the road between Tel Tamr and Abu Rasin in the province of al-Hasakah, amid fierce clashes in the axes This area is in Ras Al Ain countryside.

It is noteworthy that Turkey sent Turkish military reinforcements on Sunday to Syrian territory from the axis of the countryside of Ras al-Ain, where Turkish forces established fortifications in some areas, at a time when Syrian army units complete their deployment in villages and towns from Tal Tamr to Abu Rasin in the countryside of Ras al-Ain and on Darbasiyah road, Ras al-Ain, in the northeastern countryside of al-Hasakah.

It is worth mentioning that the 2019 Turkish offensive into north-eastern Syria, code-named by Turkey as Operation Peace Spring, is an ongoing cross-border military operation conducted by the Turkish Armed Forces and the Syrian National Army against the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Arab Army in northeastern Syria.
